A least Hunt Stevenson had convinced the Assan

A town
in Rural Pennsylvania, a factory of car has been shut-down, resulting into
financial problems. Japanese company, Assan Motors, purchased the company.  Hunt Stevenson, who also works to that company,
goes in Japan to make a presentation for them to be convinced in re-opening of
the factory. In result, Assan Company sent a management team in America and the
factory of car has been re-opened. Although, the wage is not as higher as it is
before, at least Hunt Stevenson had convinced the Assan Motors.

The American
cultures are not used in what the Japanese do at work. There were certain
things that Americans do while working that Japanese were not okay with it. Example
of these are; reading newspapers, playing music, and always treating their
selves so special, being late every morning in going to work and going home
early. That made the relationship between American worker and Japanese ruined.
Hunt, who becomes the liaison, tries to fix the scenario, but this did not
happen, when a worker intentionally knocks one of the Japanese managers during
the company’s baseball game.

The Japanese
management sees a little opportunity about keeping the factory open; Hunt says
that they can match the effort and the production of Japanese; it means 15,000
cars should be done. Japanese Management agreed with this proposal, if they
reached the said amount of cars in just a month, they will get the wages would
return to its original price and the factory would remain open.

Hunt
Stevenson advises his worker about it but his announcement was falsely stated
due to his incredulity to his workers. He said that even if they’ve partially completed
the car, 13,000 pieces, they would still get a raise. So the workers give their
best in for them to reach the said 15,000 cars, but despite of working for
hours and weekends, they decided to deal with the 13,000 cars with a partial
raise. But then they figured out that it is not true, if they did not completed
15,000 cars there would be no raises for them. The co-workers of Hunt were very
disappointed and mad at him. Hunt tries to apologies and fixed the situation but
it’s too late.

Still,
in the end, the American worker and Japanese Managers joined forces to complete
the car and make it 15,000 before the senior executive from Japan arrived. When
the senior executive arrived, he started counting the car and found out that the
car was inadequate to meet the said 15,000 cars, but the Japanese executive was
impressed by the spirit and team work in the factory. He likes the way of
Japanese and American working together, he decided to keep the factory open and
give the full raise to, and that was the time for an era of understanding the
workers in the factory.
