Anthony Petrello is the President and the CEO of Nabors, the world’s largest drilling rig fleet and international provider of offshore drilling rigs, directional drilling services, performance tools and innovative technologies for the oil and gas markets. He was the Deputy Chairman of Nabors from 2003 to 2012 before he served as the Chairman of the Board.
Also, Tony Petrello served as the President and the Chief Operating Officer of Nabors and Nabors Industries between 1991 and 2001. Among other roles, he serves as a Director of Stewart & Stevenson, LLC and Hilcorp Energy Company. He recently featured on the annual ranking of the world’s most effective and the highest-paid business leaders. Tony Petrello pursued Legal studies at Harvard Law School in addition to a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Mathematics from Yale University. His college roommate, Lloyed Grove, in an article that featured on the ‘The Daily Beast’, describes Tony as a smart mathematics whiz who seemed to operate at a genius level at the age of eighteen. Lloyd Grove added that Tony always stood out among his peers.
Tony and his college sweetheart, Cynthia Petrello, got married and had a daughter, Carena, who was born with Periventricular Leuomalacia that eventually turned into cerebral palsy. This drove Anthony into searching for more knowledge about the disease. He started supporting Jan and Dan Neurological Research Institute to conduct relevant research with the aim of getting relief from neurological disorders. Besides, Tony has granted millions of dollars to fight neurological dilemmas.
